Welcome to My UOEM. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the My UOEM mobile application and related services, which are exclusively available to University of Embu students. By downloading, installing, or using our app, you confirm that you are a currently enrolled student at the University of Embu and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms or are not eligible as a University of Embu student, you may not use the Service.

Description of Service

My UOEM is a mobile application exclusively designed for University of Embu students to manage their academic schedules, receive notifications, and access university information. The Service includes:

• Academic schedule management and reminders
• University announcements and notifications
• Course information and updates
• Student profile management
• Communication tools for academic purposes

User Accounts and Eligibility

My UOEM is exclusively designed for University of Embu students. To use the Service, you must:

• Be a currently enrolled student at the University of Embu
• Provide your valid University of Embu student credentials
• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your account information
• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

We reserve the right to verify your enrollment status at the University of Embu and may request additional documentation to confirm your eligibility. Access may be revoked if you are no longer an enrolled student at the University of Embu.

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or university policies
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
• Upload or share inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Use the Service for commercial purposes without permission
• Share false or misleading academic information

Intellectual Property Rights

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by My UOEM and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain rights to any content you submit, but grant us a license to use, display, and distribute such content as necessary to provide the Service.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Breach of these Terms
• Violation of applicable laws or regulations
• Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
• Upon your request for account deletion

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or deleting the app from your device.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Kenya, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.
